This is the Official thread of the Resident Evil Mod for Fallout 3

The Resident Evil Mod is more like a Spin Off than a Remake.
The mod will have it's own story which takes place in Raccoon City and the Arklay Mountains.

Yes,
- you'll see many familiar events from all 3 biohazard games (Brad in the south town, Claire and Sherry in the RPD, encounter Birkin until his G5 transformation, fix the Tramway, etc...)
- visit places known (University, Rpd, Umbrella Facility, Clock Tower, etc...)
- extended places (Stagla Gas Station,...)
- and new places created from scratch :)

You will play a new character created by you and will have to explore and uncover what happened in the town.
Also i've made a special outfit for male and female player characters to give the sensation of playing as an Rpd officer, Bsaa member, Ubcs member etc... instead of playing main resident evil character like Chris, Barry, Rebecca,... who will be important to the story and give missions to the player.
Other character like Billy Coen or L4D characters, will be playable from the start (I'm not including them as part of the story the way I'm using the characters from Resident Evil 1 through 3)

The story will be separated in 3 parts with sub missions.
- Part 1: Cause and Effect (not final name, it reminds me of an old mod for half life ^^)
You'll wake up in a hotel in panic. Discover that the city is devastated by a strange virus which transforms people into cannibal creatures. At this point, you'll be confused and focused on your own survival.
- Part 2: The investigation (not final name)
You will have to find clues, save important people, find special objects, create an anti-virus, escort people...
- Part 3: (no name yet)
Finally, with the Stars Alpha Team, you'll have to destroy the main epicentre of the propagation of the virus.

I'm recently associated with some new people who where not on VGU before, to give the best experience possible for the mod:
- IceCarpediem : Game tester and bug finder,
- MontyBrad : Very experienced in map creating, author of many mod for Tes4
- Cole : 2d and 3d artiste

hey I need a little help I can get throught the first door to character selection, but after I go throught the first door the game freezes everytime! any sugguestions would be greatly appriciated.

excaliber, did you download fuzetek's files ? and which mod do you want to play ? Resident Evil Mod or Biohazard 2 ?

Holy crap mate O.O.. Resident evil in fallout 3.. never thought I saw that coming.. lol, anyway downloading now and will let you know what I think of it as well as bugs if you are still working on it :P

hunk 92, yeah I downloaded the newest files from fuzetek, as well as your files, I got past the freezing parts though but now I have two problems: when running fuzetek's mod textures don't show up on player character, and there are some random frozen cop zombies(not moving whatsoever) and with your mod still missing all character textures plus no zombies move? any thoughts? thanks for your time

Hi excaliber,

Did you enabled fuzetek's esp? Also, make sure you installed fuzetek's files first, then ours. Make sure you have all the DLC as well. Enable all the DLC esp as well as Resident Evil Mod esp and biohazard 3 esp. No need to activate fuzetek's esp file.

Once we are closer to polished beta release, those steps will be taken care of so you just need to download 1 set of files.

ok sorry everyone figured it out, it was a problem with archiveinvalidationinvalidated! everything is running smooth mod looks amazing! one question though, the lighter does not work for red gem, do I need to find fuel first?

Looks good man, But I gotta ask, why are the RPD interiors cast in a yellow overlay? And where'd you pick up that floor plaque in the main hall?

I'm currently searching a good lightning for the RPD main hall.
The ground floor of the main hall is ripped from DC Chronicles (with some other stuff too) and adapted for to fill the 1st floor (made with FO3's content).

Right, but the RPD's lighting wouldnt change from game to game. I just didnt know if that was intentional or just wasnt fixed yet.

:) There is still issues with the lighting. I'll still digging up more bugs for hunk to fix... right hunk o buddy? :D
