Yea, I noticed as well, that it only says the number, no currency. The currency is US Dollars.

Hey Max, was just wondering, what is the "do-date" on the currently tracked donation goal?

The "do-date"? You mean like, when it has to be reached? You don't want to know :/
I'm talking with my Server Provider from day to day to give me a bit more time to get the money together (luckily my Server Provider is very polite, since I'm a customer since 6 years and always managed to pay the bills). Right now I'm considering several options:
Taking VGUNetwork offline (yes, this has been discussed about a few times already), since VGUNetwork costs a lot of money and is not paying for itself (not even with Google Adsense).
Changing the Server Hardware to a less expensive and less powerful one, but then a Windows Dedicated Server (would be only like 20 Euro less per month). I do not really like this step, since VGUNetwork is already a ressource hog for the current hardware.
And the last, but most out-of-question step: Change VGUNetwork dramatically to make it more monetize-driven (AS SAID, MOST OUT-OF-QUESTION STEP).
I really start to give other Sites like The Nexus my Kudos, since they manage to keep their sites up and running with a stable Userbase and Subscriber Base.
The other thing is, that the development process of VGUNetwork v2 has been paused due to the circumstances and is currently on-hold/on ice.
Another thing, which I'm always thinking about is, that VGUNetwork, in it's current state, might be confusing in terms of Navigation and Structure. VGUNetwork v2 is meant to be a lot more browsing-friendly, but yea...

The site is hugely popular, but no one have the economy to really back it up, especially these days with so many countries affected by economical crisis
But let me know if reaching the current goal is getting really dire, can't give a whole lot, but should still be able to match the same amount as my last donation

It's not really dire right now, but I will post it here (or maybe in a seperate news).
The only problem again, is, that I'm still waiting on my pay check from work, which would help a lot (not getting everything covered, but most of it).
